The Five Dysfunctions of a Team outlines the root causes of politics and dysfunction on teams, and the keys to overcoming them. Counter to conventional wisdom, the causes of dysfunction are both identifiable and curable. However, they don't die easily. Making a team functional and cohesive requires levels of courage and discipline and an understanding of the scaffold to having healthy honest conflict, with clearly defined outcomes. Based on Patrick Lencioni’s bestselling book,The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, this workshop will take teams and team leaders through the five dysfunctions pyramid, with facilitated exercises and strategies to break through dysfunction, create a shared language for change, and reboot teams for high performance, whatever they do. This workshop will be facilitated by Dr Polly McGee who will be using her insights as a former UTAS, ANU and UC staff member and senior executive leading teams in Commonwealth and State government to tailor this workshop specifically for UTAS participants.
